Chiratae McGovern Awards
Every year Chiratae Ventures felicitates individuals with exceptional contributions to their respective domains through the Chiratae Ventures Patrick J. McGovern Awards, a tradition started in 2016 in the honour and memory of Patrick J. McGovern, the legendary Founder of the International Data Group (IDG). Patrick J. McGovern was one of the early believers of India and its tech entrepreneurial potential, and his support led to the formation of Chiratae Ventures (then IDG Ventures) in 2006.

Pat McGovern is the Chair of Jury of the Chiratae Ventures Patrick J. McGovern Awards.
A successful entrepreneur, Pat is a sought-after consultant for various tech companies in Silicon Valley and across the globe. He is also the Chair of the Board of the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, a philanthropy focused on advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data science to create an equitable, and sustainable future for all. Over the past 25 years, he has been supporting emerging tech solutions for industry as well as their applications for good.
