Mr. Sudhir Sethi is Founder, Chairman of Chiratae Ventures India Advisors, one of India’s leading venture and growth capital firms. Chiratae manages $1.3 b in assets across seven funds and has made over 135 investments, resulting in 60 exits, including 18 M&A transactions and 5 IPOs (FirstCry, Lenskart, Newgen, PolicyBazaar, and Yatra). The platform has backed so far 8 unicorns. To date, Chiratae has invested over $ 1 b in technology businesses and has returned over $1 billion. Of the $1 b deployed by Chiratae, over $ 300 m has been invested in over 60 DeepTech companies in India across AI, Climate, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Robotics, SpaceTech, and Agile Manufacturing. These companies include Agnikul, Aether Biomedical, Cavli, Miko, Pixis and TakeMe2Space amongst others. Chiratae has also invested across India’s digital economy, including Flipkart, FirstCry, Lenskart, Myntra, Newgen, and PolicyBazaar, along with emerging leaders such as AgroStar, Curefoods, Cult.fit, Fibe, and Redcliffe etc. Chiratae has received several awards for its performance across fundraising investing and exits from leading institutions such as VCCircle, IVCA and Venture Intelligence. He has been recognized as one of the leading venture capitalists in the country by Red Herring and named by Bloomberg UTV as a Visionary Venture Capitalist. Mr. Sethi has over 30 years of technology and investment leadership experience. He has served in advisory roles with EMPEA, IVCA, NASSCOM, Ascent Capital, IIM Bangalore’s Entrepreneurship Centre, SEBI’s AIF Committee, and Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Bengaluru. Mr Sethi also runs a thought-leadership series known as the “Chiratae Visionary Series,” which benefits investors and entrepreneurs. Some of the notable guests on this series include the late Mr. Ratan Tata, Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, Mr. Uday Kotak, Mr. John Chambers, and Mr. Manish Choksi amongst others.
